2018:the year of the Dog
The Year of the Dog begins on 4 February and a key feature will be an emphasis on defence. The dog is very much a protector of property and rights, and over the year attention will be focused on matters of security and the maintenance of law and order.
As a result, many countries will introduce further measures to tighten defence and security systems and protect borders as well as take action against the threat of terrorism. During the year there will also be some key summits on global security, with further agreements being reached, particularly on the sharing of resources.
